#12 South Carolina (9-2) has a B- offense, a B defense, and is B- overall. They are #21 in pts/gm, #45 in total offense, and #26 in total defense. #2 Alabama (12-0) is A+ across the board. We are #1 in pts/gm, #2 in total offense, and #1 in total defense. We dropped to #2 after Texas A&M beat Texas. They play Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship and if A&M wins and we win, we'll meet for the title. If one of us falters, UCLA will make it in. If we both lose, UCLA will probably play Air Force, but they might get jumped by Kansas State.

FB Jeremy Fulmore plows in from a yard away, 7-0 Tide. On the Gamecocks next possession DE Mike Speaks tackles the QB in the endzone for a sack and a safety, 9-0. HB Nick Brown goes in from 2 yards out, 16-0. HB Jonas Barnes breaks a 51 yard TD run, 23-0. QB Jesse Russ throws an 82 yard TD pass to WR Gerald Davis, 30-0 Alabama at the end of one.

HB Brown breaks a 7 yard TD run, 37-0. K Tim Ford hits a 30 yard FG, 40-0. QB Russ throws a 34 yard TD pass to HB Brown, 47-0. HB Brown gets into the endzone from 2 yards out, 54-0. QB Russ throws a 28 yard TD pass to WR Marcus Babineaux, 61-0. SC QB Brown throws a 1 yard TD pass to Shaw with just :07 left in the first half, 61-7.

In come the backups to start the second half. FB Titus Brewer goes in from 2 yards out, 68-7. QB Joe Carter throws a 38 yard TD pass to WR Davis, 75-7.

QB Ernest Holmes throws a 15 yard TD pass to WR Kevin Kerr, 82-7.

Everything that could go wrong practically went wrong for South Carolina. Pretty much everything we did worked and they had no answer for it. This gets us to the National Championship game.
