Entering the 4th quarter the Cowboys lead 30-21 before FAU scored and brought the score to 30-28. With 1:06 left OSU had brought the score up to 40-28. On the following drive the OWLS scored on a 54 yard pass with only 15 seconds left (40-35). The Owls got the onside kick and on the last play of the game, they completed a pass, but was tackled at the OSU 13 yard line to end the game.
