Ah, the classic tale of two halves. It reared its ugly-head, at least ugly for the Wildcat faithful this Saturday Night as an upset was seemingly in the making for Kansas State as they lead Auburn 17-6 at half time in a jam-packed Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Apparently, that upset wasn't meant to be.

The Powercats watched as their lead slipped through their finger tips and into the finger tips of the Auburn secondary, as 'State quarterback Josh Freeman was picked off an astounding four times in the second half.

"It's a growing process. And that's not just a cliche, because it really is. Believe me, I wish we could have each one of those interceptions back, and I know Josh feels the exact same way. It's hard for a young guy like that to keep his composure in a hostile environment like Auburn," said K-State head coach Ron Prince. He added, "The important thing is that he learns from it and grows. If he doesn't, then we have a problem."

Freeman himself declined to comment on the situation, still frustrated from his atrocious second half performance.

Among the few bright spots for the 'Cats were receiver Toney Coleman, who caught 11 balls for 95 yards, and sophomore corner back Josh Moore who set the new NCAA record, returning an interception 97 yards for one of just two Kansas State touchdowns on the day.

If there is anything positive from this, Kansas State will have a good opportunity to bounce back when they return to Manhattan for their home opener next week against San Jose State, who lost 38-10 at Arizona State this week.
