The Marhsall Thundering Herd came out today looking more like a herd of cattle waiting to be brought to slaughter. That's exactly what it came down to as West Virginia made light work with a 41-13 victory. The West Virginia defense was just too stifling, not allowing Marshall's star runningback, Ahmad Bradshaw to get anything going as he carried the ball 19 times for a total of 33 yards, thanks to outstanding play by WVU's defense, led by Henry's 9 tackles and 5 tackles for loss. On the other side of the ball the West Virginia rushing attack was able to get the job done as Slaton carried the ball 11 times for 67 yards and a touchdown, while White added 11 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown, Schmitt with 2 carries for 8 yards and a touchdown, and Colson with 3 carries for 15 yards and a touchdown. Marshall never really was close at all in this game and were clearly outmatched.
