Miami's star studded defense dominates
August 27, 2011
Game Report Posted: January 12, 2010 19:58
Miami's secondary has 3 INTs, 1 returned by AA T. Weldon to the house. That put the game away early in the 3rd quarter giving UM a 24-0 lead. Miami's defense gave up yardage throughout the game but prevented any points until late in the 3rd quarter with their 3 INTs. KSU's running game looked good in the 1st half. UM's OL is young and couldn't get anything going on the ground for S. McNeal. Though, they did provide adequate pass protection for R. Marve.
Look for L. Chambers to get more playing time next week vs. Ohio State and the Miami running game to try to run to the edges more often.
Miami revenges last year's 2OT loss

Game Report Posted: January 15, 2010 22:40
Miami couldn't get their running game going as expected. UM was forced to pass with Marve dropping back to pass 39 times. Miami did clip a nice 10/18 on 3rd down attempts which proved to be the difference. The Canes only punched it in for a TD once in 5 attempts in the red zone (4 FGs).
Miami's defense played a bend don't break style. JoJo Nicholas had a huge INT in the back of the endzone on a long drive by the Buckeyes which would have given them the lead. B. Harris also had an INT in the Ohio St. redzone to prevent any points.
This win should propel UM into the Top 15 and put them in the race for the NC.
UMs Passing Game finally comes to life

Game Report Posted: February 03, 2010 12:27
Marve and a slew of receivers finally clicked in a pivotal rivalry game in Tally. If Miami could win they would be 3-1, with a loss they would be 2-2 and out of the Top 25.
Total Offense was tied at 349 in the game, fairly low for such a high scoring game. On the 2nd play of the game B. Paul would bust a 60yd TD run to give FSU the early lead. L. Chambers countered with a 60yd TD catch of his own from a pass in the flat. J. McKenzie had 2 TD receptions and his 1 in the 4th quarter would prove to be the winning score.
FSU did drive late and executed three 3rd downs to keep their drive alive. On 4th down with about 40 seconds left and a 4th and 5, EJ Manuel would call his own number on a QB sneak. M. Fortson broke his block and caused Manuel to fumble the ball giving UM the win.
