With Fear of Sounding Like a Broken Record, Michigan's D Gets It Done Once Again.....Gets It Done Once Again.....Gets It Done Once Again.....

Michigan took on an over matched Michigan State team tonight in East Lansing. There was the possibility of Michigan's players being off their game as they were looking ahead to their annual matchup against #1 ND. Suffice it to say, this was not the case. Michigan dominated the game in every respect and it was clear that Michigan's players were simply too good for the Spartans.

Michigan's offense made a few big plays, including a 30 yard TD pass from Forcier to FR Greg Banks and a 66 yarder to TE Brandon Moore, but for the most part, they were simply very methodical as they marched the ball repeatedly down the field (4 of their 6 TDs were for 6 yards or less). Forcier (who, like the rest of the offensive and defensive starters only played 3 quarters) had a big day throwing the ball. He completed 13 of 16 passes for an even 200 yards and 3 TDs. The carries were spread around once again, led by Vincent Smith who ran for 84 yards on 13 carries. FR Banks had a big day with 145 all purpose yards and a TD.

Defensively it was another dominating team performance. They only allowed 7 points, 177 yards of offense, 26 rushing yards on 25 carries, 56% of passes completed, 36% of 3rd downs converted, and they forced 2 turnovers and sacked the QB 6 times.

Next up for the Wolverines is a huge game as they host #1 Notre Dame.
