Spartans Look Rusty In Opening Win Over UAB
"Jevon Ringer must be stopped". After making their defensive gameplan known, UAB then succeeded in their mission. Unfortunately for them, the rest of the Spartans weren't focused on as much and what was a close game in the first half ended up covering the spread by the end.
Brian Hoyer passed for 244 yards but had 3 Interceptions to go with 2 TDs.
The play of the day was an 84 yard TD pass from Hoyer to Devin Thomas who had 3 catches for 103 yards and 1 TD.
