The defense was stingy, holding Stanford to 201 total yards.

John Goodman has 11 yards and a TD in the win.

Despite only gaining 73 total yards, Cierre Woods is still in the mix to be called to New York for the Heisman voting.

Game Report Posted: January 14, 2014 21:00

The Irish stunned #4 Michigan, 32-27 on Saturday. Cierre Wood's TD with :36 left gave the Irish the upset. Both teams went back and forth, neither giving ground nor gaining an edge. Notre Dame took the lead early in the third but Michigan fought back. Once again, Cierre Wood led the way, gaining 183 yards on 28 carries and scoring 3 TDs. Jimmy Butler threw for 300 TDs and 3 TDs in the loss.

There is growing concern over Everett Golson's turnover problems. He's thrown 7 INTs in 4 games. Tommy Rees has filled in nicely, but is not the answer. Still, after 4 consecutive wins, there is no worry. Yet.

Game Report Posted: January 14, 2014 21:12

In what many are already calling one of the greatest games of all time, Notre Dame scored on the first play of OT and recovered a Hurricane fumble to win 42-35.

In a snowy day in South Bend, Miami was surging up the polls and playing well. Notre Dame was up to the task early, but Miami stayed in the game, taking the lead in the fourth on a long drive.

Once again, Cierre Wood's late TD tied the game. On the first play of OT, Golson hit a wide open Tyler Eifert for a score. Miami got to the Irish 6 on their possession, where Prince Shembo forced a fumble which the Irish recovered for the win.

Cierre Wood had 130 total yards and 2 scores, firmly holding his place amongst the Heisman favorites.
