The Blazers lost their C-USA Opener to the LA Tech Bulldogs on Saturday. That now makes it back to back losses for the first time this year. A.J. Erdely went down with an injury early in the game and didn't return. So Johnston the backup had to play out the game. He actually performed decent throwing 15 for 33 with 168 yards a TD and a pick, but then he would go down with his own injury and miss the game and possibly next week with broken ribs. The Blazer how in a pickle with only two QB's active and Sederian Copeland as the emergency QB, they were forced to forfeit Dylan Hopkins redshirt in order to have a QB to play. Hopkins came in and also played decent but he couldn't lead the Blazers to a comeback win as they would fall 31-21. Their last game of a 3-game homestand will come next saturday at 1:00PM as they will try to get their first win in two week against the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky.
Stay tuned and GO BLAZERS
