All Quiet in Week 17

Weekly Report Posted: May 04, 2024 03:50

No news has been reported this week.

Pine Bluff used ball control offense to crank out a 10-0 lead that in the first half. The two scoring drives collectively used up 8:25 off the clock and each was 13 plays. UAPB built momentum that wasn't lost until after halftime. Akron whittled away the lead but wasn't able to trim all of it. Receivers Efe Osawemwenze and Midge Nelson got the starts, but Nelson nearly became the goat when he dropped a deep pass that would have sealed the win. However, NB Ray Frederick, lost early in the year on the depth chart, was in the game when Rasheed Salas got hurt, and Frederick re-collected his own tip of a desperation pass to give the ball back to Pine Bluff for good.

This was the finest game I've seen Will Porter play. He scrambled 3 times, not for a lot of yards, but it was still a thing of beauty to see.

AI settings were AA, 8 min qtrs.
Offense: 50.30.50.50.40 both, except cpu gets 50 RBK
Defense: 40.0.0.40.50 both.
Momentum-buster: When one team gets 50% momentum, the RBA sliders go to 0, with 80 for the opponent. The sliders don't go back to neutral until the momentum is drained out of the up team.
