Carlson Announces New Coordinators

Season Report Posted: January 07, 2014 22:52

Central Michigan Head Coach Rob Carlson announced his two new coordinators in a conference call this afternoon.

Taking over the Chippewa Offense will be former Missouri Head Coach Clarence McKinney. McKinney was relieved of his duties as Head Coach, but was hot commodity in the coaching market. Carlson hopes McKinney can continue the trend of utilizing a dynamic offense. As has been the case since being named Head Coach, Carlson will continue to call the offensive plays.

On the defensive side of the ball, Carlson was happy to introduce John Thompson as his new Defensive Coordinator. Thompson is an up and comer in the college football ranks and comes to CMU from Arkansas State.
