Good Offense the Best Defense?

Yet another game where the Illini defense would allow the opposing team to score big. Just not big enough, as they dispatch of the Hoosiers 45 - 35. R.Mendenhall would have a huge day on the ground finishing with 149 yards and 1 touchdown. Juice would pass for 4 touchdowns through the air, 2 to Warren, 1 to Benn and the last one to Walter Mendenhall.

Before the cointoss, there was a blurb in the national paper about Juice and Arrelious Benn preparing for their season opener Vs. Indiana. Benn would prove again worthy taking a pass 57 yards for the score. Not to discredit the Illini defense, even though they allowed 35 points. They would pick off Hoosier QB, K.Lewis 6 times before the final whistle. CB, Dere Hicks would be on the receiving end of 3 Lewis passes.

Juice tossed 3 interceptions as well, all in the 4th quarter while trying to create some seperation from the Hoosiers who hung around the game until the final play of the game when Rashard Mendenhall would take it 33 yards to put the game out of reach for good.
