This one was a classic Bama vs LSU battle. Big play after big play hard fought until the end. Bama struck first with a 75yd TD pass. Then LSU answered with a 78 yd TD pass to Beckham. LSU would score again with 36 yd pass to Lindsey. Bama would answer with a 65 yd TD pass. On the next play LSU answered with KO Return by Turner..After all the scoring the Defenses settled down and made each offense earn every yd...The LSU defense made one last stand at the end of the 4th forcing bama to throw 4 incomplete passes as they tried to march 85yds for a game tying TD with under 1 min left on the clock. QB Rivers took the field with :38 seconds left to take a knee and end a hard earned win
Recruiting Class Complete

The Tigers have signed all over their recruits. A total of 16 young men have decided to become a Tiger. At the time of this class completion we are currently ranked number 1 in the country. We got the number 4 and 5 kids out of Cali (Watson/Washington), The number 1 and 5 kids out of Louisiana (Garrett/Burke), number 3 and 5 kids out of Texas (Willis/Murphy). For a complete breakdown of the class check out our in season list.
Reporter: "Why not some many kids from Louisiana signed this year?"
Coach: We always focus on our state first but with the top talent not being positions of need we decided not to pursue those young men and let them have a better chance of playing else where

Leading into the first game of the season the QB position is still up in the air coach will go with Rivers to start but if he can't get the job done excpect to see Flowers..LSU will still be using a stable of RBs this year lead by JR RS Magee..He will share the rock with FR RS Lindsey and True Fresh Higdon...This year the number 18 has been given to SR WR Beckham
Big Week

The Tigers had a big week with 5 out of the 7 recruits visiting committing after the game. The Tigers had big plays all game long on both sides of the ball. There have even been wispers of Coach naming Fr RS RB Lindsey the starting RB. He put 143yds on 14 car with 2 TD long run of 91yds. True Freshman Higdon added 98yds on the ground. Coach will look at the production of the game against #10 UF then decide if he will pull the trigger on naming Lindsey the #1 guy. RS Fr Hurst earned player of the game for his great defensive day.

The Tigers showed no love to UL-Lafayette. The Tigers started and end the game scoring with Pick 6's..Then QB Rivers went to work throwing TD passes of 5yd, 7yd, 26yd, 18yd..2 of those TDs were caught by WR Beckham. The Defense showed very well today getting 5 INTs and causing 4 sacks. The 2nd team didn't let up all once they got in the game ending the game with 3 INTs

In a Rain filled game the Tigers came out took the opening Kickoff back to the house and never looked back..Couldn't find any rythem on Offense leading to INTs

The Tigers enter the 2014 season ranked #1 in the country..The road to a 3 peat will not be easy. There will be alot of first time starters on both sides of the ball. Although most of the players saw plenty of time over the last 2 season as back ups it's different thing to become a starter and leader..The Tigers have 5 preseason top 25 teams on the schedule #2 Wisconsin, #10 Utah, #23 Florida, #20 Auburn and #11 Bama...The Tigers have been picked to win the SEC West while #13 Georgia is picked to win the SEC East..There are 16 schollys to be handed out this year coach hopes to lock up this class before the season ends..With this not being a loaded year in Louisiana for positions that LSU needs coach will rely on his Out of State connections to help him fill this class. Check back to see who won the fall camp battles to see who starts at QB RS JR Stephen Rivers or True Fresh Sam Flowers
