Michigan quarterbacks combined for 8 interceptions--5 by starter Steven Threet--and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish overcame a 7-0 halftime deficit with a monster second half, rolling to a 31-14 win over the Michigan Wolverines.

In a battle of two vaunted defenses, the Wolverines came out on top--barely. Darryl Stonum hauled in Justin Feagin's tipped pass in the end zone for the go-ahead score in the 4th quarter, and the Michigan Wolverines held on for a 10-6 win over #7 Wisconsin.
The only piece of bad news for Michigan was the loss of their leading WR, Greg Mathews, for the rest of the season. Mathews suffered a fractured patella after taking a big hit in the third quarter.

Illinois came into Ann Arbor and embarrassed the home team with a 38-point first half, cruising to an eventual 53-7 win.

Michigan choked away an early lead, battled back to a tie, and ultimately stunk it up with a pair of picks in overtime, losing 21-14 to an otherwise pathetic Toledo squad.

Nick Sheridan notched his first 300-yard passing game, but his last-second pass to the end zone was picked off, and Michigan fell below .500 for the first time all year after narrowly losing a tough road battle against Penn State.

Brandon Minor set career highs with 203 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, while Martavious Odoms and Sam McGuffie added return TDs to lead Michigan to a 48-28 upset of #24 Michigan State.
Note: Tim Jamison's 2nd quarter sack, his 13th of the year, set a new Michigan single-season record. DE/LB LaMarr Woodley set the previous mark in 2006. Jamison added a second sack in the 4th quarter to run his season total to 14.
