Michigan Continues Its SEC Domination With 45-3 Drubbing of #15 Georgia
This game was nowhere near as close as the analysts had predicted. Michigan dominated every facet of the game against Georgia in Ann Arbor. Their defense continued to dominate as they only gave up 3 points on the day. While they did allow the starting HB to go over 100 yards, they completely took away the Georgia passing game. They only allowed 135 passing yards, less than 50% completion rate, and they forced 2 interceptions. They only allowed Georgia to convert 27% of their 11 3rd downs and they only allowed them into the red zone once.
Robert Sanders and the rest of the Wolverines were at least 2 steps ahead of the Bulldogs at all timesOffensively, the talk continues to center around Michigan's surprising true FR QB, Jacob Hawkins. He got things done on the ground as he led the team in rushing with 63 yards, but it's his passing that is getting everyone's attention. He completed 13 of 16 passes (81%) for 172 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 INTs. This gives him a 210 QBR, 6 TDs, 0 INTs, and 80% comp% on the season. He was projected to be the worst passer of any Michigan QB, but he is defying the scouts thus far. How long can he keep this up? Time will only tell. Outside of him, the Michigan offense continues to disappoint. No HBs are getting anything going and the top 2 receivers (both redshirt SRs) continue to drop passes thrown their way.
Next Michigan will take on their 3rd top 15 team in a row as they travel to Madison to take on #11 Wisconsin.
