Michigan Wins Season Opener 27-6 Against Vanderbilt
In a tighter than expected season opener against Vanderbilt, the Wolverines "bend but don't break" defense kept the Commodores out of the endzone, shutting them out entirely in the second half.
Michigan QB Chad Henne completed 14 of 24 passes for 135 yards, and 1 touchdown. Henne, who was consistently pressured by the Commodore defense, was sacked 4 times and threw 1 interception.
However, Vanderbilt could find an answer for HB Mike Hart, who had a career day rushing for 219 yards on 34 carries, and scoring 3 touchdowns.
