Cornhuskers Defeat Colorado 40-13

November 28, 2008

Game Report Posted: September 01, 2008 20:24

The first quarter was a scare for the Husker fans as they were shutout in the first quarter. The fans weren't worried as the Huskers made a quick set of scores in the 2nd Quarter and in the end finished with a W. The Huskers are ever so close to playing in the National Championship game. They'll need help from the polls and the Top 2 teams. With the #1 Florida Gators losing, the Huskers will move up to #4 in the polls and play in the Big XII Championship game against Texas who is one rank ahead of the Huskers at #3. With a win over #3 Texas, the Huskers will look from help from the top two ranked teams and if both teams win, then the Huskers will just hope that their strength of schedule is strong enough to jump the #2 BCS team in order to play in the National Championship game.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers started the season outside of the polls at #37. One-by-one, the Huskers are knocking off opponents and moving up in rankings hoping to get to the coveted National Championship game in ONE SEASON. Behind Coach Pelini, the Huskers are looking to make HISTORY! If the Huskers make it to the National Championship game and WIN it, then Pelini may head to the University of Iowa to coach the Iowa Hawkeyes to a National Championship.
