The UCLA Bruins have won the Rose Bowl after a convincing 24-17 win over Penn State. It all came down to the end, where Christian Hackenburg had 4 seconds to steal the show. He has a wide open WR downfield but was sacked just before releasing the ball.
Penn State started out with a 10-0 lead after Bill Belton and Sam Ficken each scored. Turnovers proved to be costly for both squads throughout. UCLA scored 2 touchdowns in the second quarter to take the lead into the half.
Hackenburg came out strong in the third hooking up with D. Thompkins for a nice pass TD. UCLA would add on a Field Goal on their next drive to tie it up.
Penn State was in FG range when Hackenburg threw his 3rd INT of the day, allowing UCLA to drive down the field after a deep 40 yard pass play. A running touchdown with under 1 minute to play sealed the deal.
Penn State will enter the off-season 12-2 as the Big Ten Champs.
