SJSU holds off Hawaii, controls destiny in divisional race.

San Jose State (7-2; 6-1) held Hawaii (8-2; 5-2) scoreless in the last quarter to pull out the win and take sole control of the top spot in the MWC West division. Senior QB Dejon Williams scored the go-ahead score from 22 yards out on the first play of the 4th quarter. Before that, the game was back-and-forth throughout. The first half witnessed 5 combined turnovers, including one by safety James Hadley, starting only his second game, near the goaline. San Jose State heads to Utah State (3-6; 3-4) next before a potential division-clinching match with UNLV.
