Bruins too Much for Cardinal
Palo Alto, CA: Stanford put up a fight even closing to 14-10 late in the second quarter only to see UCLA strike for two big plays just minutes apart. Immediately after Stanford made it 14-10, UCLA returned the ensuing kickoff 92 yards to put the Bruins up 21-10.
Stanford's next drive was halted quickly as TC Ostrander's errant pass was picked off and returned for another quick TD making the score 28-10. The Cardinal never recovered and bowed to the Bruins 51-24.
Notes: Starting CB Wopamo Osaisai was injured and will miss the next 6 weeks.
