Beavers Too Much for Cardinal
Palo Alto, CA: The OSU Beavers scored early and often in defeating the Cardinal 31-17. The Beavers bolted to a 28-7 halftime lead and never looked back.
Ryan McCants (13 for 123 yards) and Jacquizz Rogers (16 for 69 yards) paced OSU on the ground and Lyle Moevao was 12 for 21 through the air.
Cardinal QB Tavita Pritchard was somewhat effective throught the air but was sacked five times by the Beavers. Alex Loukas replaced Pritchard in the 4th quarter and was sacked 2 more times.
Coaches Comments:
On the QB situation: Both Loukas and Pritchard need to be more decisive and get rid of the ball! WE can't have seven sacks and expect to compete.
