Our first nail biter of the year, comes down to a 21 yard field goal with :02 left. South Carolina tied the game with :54 with a 1 yd run by Jarvis Giles. On the next drive NC State threw a pick on the first play to set up Spencer Lanning's Game winning Field Goal.

You live by the blitz and you die by the blitz. Troy had Bowling Green's number on Defense in the 4th quarter but a late interception, and a Bowling Green fooling the Troy Defense put Bowling Green ahead for the close victory.

Time to start the college football season and a lot of questions are going to be answered when new coach Chris Oxford will take the field for the first time against the Minnesota Golden Gopher in the first of three games involving a Big Ten Team.
"I am nervous about it." Said Oxford in interview with local Syracuse radio. "I told the guys it is time to put Syracuse right back on the map."
Minnesota is usually a bottom dweller of the rough and tough Big Ten. Minnesota has Syracuse over powered in every category.
Predicted score: Minnesota 35 Syracuse 10.

Defensive Tackle Andrew Lewis and Outside Linebacker has been announced as Athlon All-Big East. Andrew Lewis made 1st Team All Big-East, Earl Carter made 2nd Team All Big East. Congratulations to both of them.

Coach Chris Oxford announces this week Syracuse's schedule. With the departure of South Florida from the Big East to the ACC, and Notre Dame entering the Big East, Notre Dame will see Syracuse in Week 5 of the season.
Other notable games include QB Greg Paulus return to Duke on week 4.

A group of teams decided it was time for a change of Scenary:
(1) The South Florida Bulls have joined the ACC with Florida State and Miami.
(2) Florida has also joined the ACC to make it 4 Florida teams in the ACC,
(3) Notre Dame has joined the Big East.
(4) Clemson and Georgia Tech have joined the SEC.
(5) Vanderblt has joined MAC
(6) Eastern Michigan is now an independent.
