Vols lose second string QB
Midway in the third quarter, the backup David Alexander, QB for the Vols, got knocked out with a broken jaw by LSU. LSU took a 25-9 lead when that happened, but Kevin Williams, a Knoxville native, came out and tried to lead UT back and almost did it falling just short at the goaling as he got sacked with no time remaining.
