Game Report Posted: December 18, 2010 02:10

Auburn, AL - The Auburn tigers started the game off with a bang....only to see it end in a whimper. #24 Auburn (4-1) fell to #1 Tennessee (5-0) 48-6 in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn managed to only get a two meager field goals against Tennessee. The Vols gave Auburn good field position in the first quarter and Auburn only was able to mount field goals of 36 and 35 yards. This was the only scoring of the first quarter.

Tennessee adjusted to what Auburn was doing and were able to stop shooting themselves in the foot and held a 17-6 lead at halftime.

Auburn was stopped cold in the second half and went scoreless. Tennessee put in the backups at the start of the fourth quarter and would go on to see the backups hang 17 points on Auburn.
