From 2005-2016 Washington endured the horrible tenure of Ty Willingham. He saw his tenure go 6-6, 6-6, 5-7, 4-8, 1-10, 0-11, 0-11, 0-11, 0-11, 0-11. He got Washington on the Death Penalty Twice. Ty had a record of 22-92.

Jim Mora Jr, a former Husky, has been asked to take over the Washington program and restore it to prominence. He has been given a 10 year contract to do what is needed and try to get Washington back on the winning ledger.
