UWF pulls off the upset in miracle fashion

West Florida thought they would have to wait until at least their 2nd season in FBS football to achieve a signature win. The win @UCF is surely a signature win that shows the rest of the conference they are ready to play competitive football this season.
The Argonauts offense was shut down most of the game. W. Florida only had six 1st downs all game and 264yds of offense compared to C. Florida's 20 1st downs and 451yds of offense. W. Florida finally got on the board early in the 4th quarter with a nice play action pass on 3rd and 1 by Jennings to Hicks for the TD. The defense got a quick stop and the comeback was fully on when freshman DeAngelis ran for a 78yd TD cutting the score to 14-20 with 9:46 left on the clock. The miracle happened 3 possessions later as UCF was looking to run out the clock on a 3rd and short with less than 2 minutes in the game. CB R. Copeland picked up a fumble and took it to the house for a 75yd return to give the Argonauts a 21-20 lead with 1:27 left on the clock. UCF would get 2 quick 1st downs and be near midfield but, UWF would hold them and force a turnover on downs to end the game.
