WVU too much for Toppers

In a game expected to be one sided, WVU dominated Western Kentucky, 40-14 Saturday at Mountaineer Field. The Mountaineers held the Hilltoppers to just 38 yards rushing, one third down conversion, and forced four interceptions on the afternoon.

Safety Robert Sands led the Mountaineer Defense by picking off two passes, while recording 3 tackles. Eain Smith also had an outstanding game from his safety spot. Smith recorded seven tackles including one sack.

West Virginia's offense never really exploded on the afternoon as several reserves played significant minutes as the Eers get ready for a quick turnaround against UCONN on Thursday night in Hartford.
