FIU Inches Past Western Kentucky

You would think losing your star quarterback(who is the best player on offense) for half the game, that the Hilltoppers were sure to lose this game. "He came in there and did a great job i would say. He did much more than any of us were hoping for and almost help lead us to our first win of the season. Our offense did die down for a few drives after Fred got hurt. By all means it was a big loss in this game for Fred to go out, but our oppurtunities were there and we didnt capitalize when we needed to. It hurts to lose a conference game, but we gotta get on track here before the season is almost over. I do believe this team can compete out there with anyone, its just a matter of how many mistakes we make, which have been the reason for our season." Coach Procter didnt sound to mad when talking after the game at the press conference, but did show proud of the backup quarterback. The Hilltoppers are now 0-5 on the season, and have a slim chance of going to any bowl game. At this point the coaches are trying to get this young offense and defense used to the new playbooks. Next week is UL Monroe(2-3), who is looking for a win in hopes of making a run in the Sun Belt.
