Tide Tames Wildcats in Lexington

On Kentucky's first play from scrimmage, ROLB Thomas Oliver bumps the UK QB and he fumbles. Oliver picks it up and goes in from 14, 7-0 Bama. QB Corey Kendrick throws a 5 yard TD pass to TE Ryan DeLuca, 14-0. UK QB Reid throws a 68 yard TD pass to Austrum, 14-7.

UK QB Reid hits Holley on a 60 yard TD pass, 14-14. UK QB Reid finds Burks on a 4 yard TD throw, 21-14 Wildcats. QB Kendrick finds TE DeLuca on a 6 yard TD pass, 21-21.

FB Duane McClelland scoots 7 yards to put Bama back ahead 28-21. QB Kendrick throws a 13 yard TD pass to HB George Davis, 35-21 Tide. PR Mike Miles busts a punt return 75 yards for the score, 42-21. LOLB Sam Smith blasts a WR over the middle causing a fumble, scoops up the loose ball, and rumbles 18 yards for the score, 49-21.

No scoring in the 4th quarter.

We quickly got ahead of the Wildcats in Lexington, but they fought there way back with three straight TD passes. Our team then took over for good in the second half.
