North Texas drops their first game of the season to Iowa 35-21
Rice is able to get their offense going on an upset win over Stanford 45-35 to begin their season
Tennessee's defense is able to hold off Southern Miss to avoid an upset bid with a 26-20 win
Marshall gets past Miami (OH) 31-28 in a close game
UTEP is not able to stop Arizona as they put a 48-31 win to begin the season
Arkansas State gets a huge upset to start the season behind teriffic defensive effort
The Red Wolves defense showed their eliteness in this game by holding the 7th ranked Bruins to under 200 offensive yards as the Red Wolf offense did just enough to get the huge upset win to start the season
