Tennessee's defense is able to hold off Southern Miss to avoid an upset bid with a 26-20 win
Marshall gets past Miami (OH) 31-28 in a close game
UTEP is not able to stop Arizona as they put a 48-31 win to begin the season

The reigning National Champs in Florida Atlantic avoid HUGE disaster win a close win against FCS Northwest 28-26
Rice comes out and upsets Oklahoma State 44-24 as they improve to 2-0 on the year
UTSA is another Conference USA team to take down a Big 12 foe, this time 42-37 against Baylor
UAB loses a close one to UCF 28-23
Middle Tennessee State takes care of business against FCS Midwest 38-7
Charlotte starts the season out with a 33-21 win against Hawaii
Florida International does just enough to escape FCS Southeast with a 31-24 win
Louisiana Tech takes down an SEC team in Mississippi State 38-31
Southern Miss goes down to FCS Southeast 27-17 after another poor performance to start off the young season
Big performance from Luke and Whitaker lead the Red Wolves to blowout win against ULM

Charlotte comes up just short in an upset bid against Virginia 28-31

Rice is no match for Wake Forest in a 45-7 blowout
Florida Atlantic's 16 game win streak comes to an end with a disasterous ending to the game as they let Vanderbilt score 17 unanswered and lost 39-35

The Red Wolves defense showed their eliteness in this game by holding the 7th ranked Bruins to under 200 offensive yards as the Red Wolf offense did just enough to get the huge upset win to start the season
