Arkansas State lost their Top 3 receivers but brought back the defensive core and came out and played a perfect football game to give the SEC Mississippi State Bulldogs an embarassing 0-1 start. Bonner was named starting QB and played a terrific game solidifying his role as QB #1

After Bonner's miserable 1st half, the Red Wolves make a change and put Hatcher in at QB and he alongside star RB Marcel Murray and the stingy defense make an incredible 24-0 comeback to win 28-27 against the Arizona State Sun Devils and improve to 3-0 on the season
