2011 Week 1

1ST QUARTER

Bowling Green got the ball first, and this is what they did. Mosley ran all over the field, a 12 yard gain on 3rd and 1 set them up for a passing TD to a wide open recievers, this didn't look good, 15 yard touchdown pass to Terrell, gives Bowling Green a 7-0 lead. 6 plays - 1:32
QB Siegel showed the Bowling Green secondary his arm strength, by throwing a 18 yard pass and a first down. Then he plain out missed an open reciever near the 15. BYU kept marching down the field with assortments of passes. Siegel completed 3 straight passes and BYU was in the red zone. It was 3rd and 2 and everyone thought pass, and they decided to run, bad idea. Sacked for a 3 yard loss. BYU had to settle for a 32 yard field goal. Bowling Green 7, BYU 3 - 9 plays, 60 yards 2:43

End of 1st Quarter: Bowling Green 7, BYU 3

"Okay guys, we played good let's put more points up on the board", Joe Johnson said to his team.

2ND QUARTER

Bowling Green went three and out. They punted, and Joe Johnson was clapping.

BYU started out passing. Bowling Green was shocked when HB Johnson for BYU ran straight up the middle for a 46 yard TOUCHDOWN! Johnson juked his way through a couple defenders and made his way to the endzone. 10-7 BYU---- oh wait, THE KICKER MISSED THE EXTRA POINT!! It bounced off the goal post. 3plays, 62 yards 0:46, with HB Johnson having 62 total yards on the drive. 9-7 BYU.

Bowling Green's confidence died as soon as it started. Three and out and a punt. BYU QB Siegel quickly threw 2 15+ yard completions and BYU was at the BGSU 23. Siegel decided to use his feet and pick up 16 yards on the ground after a 5 yard loss by HB Jackson. Two plays later, Siegel threw to IMPACT WR Henderson for a TOUCHDOWN!

Did we miss the extra point? No. 6 plays, 58 yards, 1:58 16-7 BYU leads.

Bowling Green got out too a bad start. But, on 3rd and 10 they get a huge gain through the air. They use the No Huddle offense, but they apprently didn't get the play right. INTERCEPTION, but then we gets called with an unsportsmanlike conduct call. We're at our own 5.

We run out the clock.

3rd Quarter:

After we started gaining yards, we starting losing them 7 play drive, only goes for 31 yards and takes off 2 minutes, but we punt for the first time today. We did have one big play on the drive a 30 yard pass from Siegel to J.J Jordan. The punt would bounce at the 3, then the 1 and into the endzone. Touchback.

Bowling Green started out slow, but on 3rd and 3, Mosley was mistackled, and ended up picking up 12. Bowling Green would come at us again and again with Mosley. But, we held him to short yard gains, and it was another 3rd and 3. With 4 WR's on the field, it looked pass. No. It was a run up the middle. First down. What did they do? Pass. 2 Incompletions and a 3 yard gain. On 4th and 7, they went for it and ended up 2 yards short. The fans booed.

BYU took over at our own 30. We decided to pass, and it worked well for a 19 yard gain, then a 6 or so yard gain on the ground.

End of 3rd Quarter: BYU 16, Bowling Green 7

It was time for us to mow off the clock. 3rd and 1 for us, and do we get it? Yes, and he breaks a tackle and gains 6 yards. But, once again we had a third down, the third down option was just 2 yards short. 44 yard Field Goal attempt, and we go to the kicker who missed an XP. And.. it's OFF THE GOAL POST! NOOOOOOO! BGSU has 3:22 left and has the ball at our 27.

Bowling Green gets sacked for a loss and they have momentum. And then they throw it to Mosley and he gets the first down, and of course the No Huddle. The No Huddle screws our guys up and we're allowing gains, and we get called with a cheap FALSE START pentaly. Holley who was p/oed after the False Start call, tipped and GOT AN INTERCEPTION! Now, let's not have to punt.

Bowling Green is mistackling and loses a player to injury.

HB Johnson gets some great blocks and TOUCHDOWN BYU! 25 Yard Touchdown Run! 23-7 BYU. 3 plays, 45 yards, 0:47.

Bowling Green gets a huge gain to the BYU 32. Then an incomplete out of bounds pass. Then another crappy pass. And then Impact SS O'Neill gets the Interception in the endzone.

And then, a fumble. Oh here it goes. Bowling Green recovers. CRAP! They have it at our 23. But.. I challenge the ruling, it's a close call, but it stands.

Our D-Line is mad and gets the sack, and then an incompletion.

Then, linebacker Baker jumps up and gives the team their 4th interception, we're hit with a celebration and we're back at the 11. I'm so gonna turn that pentaly off.
