2011 Week 2

We defered the call. Washington got the ball first. They returned it to midfield. But, on 3rd and 7, after two horrible and small runs. They get the first through the air. Harley decided to show his arm strength on 1st down and missed his reciever by about 10 yards. Then it was 3rd and 10, once again they would get a big gain. Now inside our 20 at the 11, they are just 2 yards short of the endzone on 2nd down. 3rd and 1 from the 2.. Will they score? I make a huge mistake, and hit the timeout button. Oops. Harley to the TE Maxwell, for a 2 YD TD Pass, they get hit with the celebration pent. But, it's 7-0 Washington.

With the lineup change, the FB is now HB Berg, it was 3rd and inches.. and he got it for us. Then we started passing, and remember that 96 JUMPER Free Safety? Well, the ball is for our reci-- he jumps up INTERCEPTION. Our strong safety O'Neill started making plays, a sack and a tackle. It was 3rd and 5, and they get the first. Let's just say after the next pass play, Washington was at our 13. Then our Free Safety comes through a gets the deflection. Washington would settle for 23 yard field goal-- oh wait. BLOCKED! But, we get called with an offsides. So it's 4th and inches. Now, a 20 Yd FG, and it's good! 10-0 Washington.

A terrible option play ends the first quarter.

End of 1st Quarter: Washington 10, BYU 0.

And, after and incompletion and then and another. A punt. Washington got a 14 yard gain on the ground. Then, remember Josh Holley? INTERCEPTION! I think he should be an impact player, no? Our ball. Washington would be hit with an injured player. Johnson on the option BARELY got the first down on third down. After two one yard gains. On 3rd and 8.. We find our TE and he goes all the way to the 20. Now we're getting somewhere.. On the fake HB pass, Johnson took off running and gained 18 yards. We give to the FB Berg, and he scores. TOUCHDOWN!! 10-7 Washington.

A shorter kickoff, leads to some HORRIBLE TACKLING by BYU and Washington's gone. Henry scores on a 83 Yard TD Return. Great. 17-7 Washington.

We give off to HB Johnson twice, and he gets us to the 38 of Washington. Then they sack us. Then we get a big gain through the air on a 5 WR set. We quickly got to the 9 after a few good gains. Siegel had completed 5 straight. But then overshot Henderson in the endzone. 3rd and Goal, and it was deflected. 1:06 left in the half and the fans booed as the offense returned to the field. They were going for it. Washington wasn't falling for the option. No gain. Turnover on downs. But, they had the ball at the 6. And we get them down to the 1 yard line! Can it be a safety?! YES!! SAFETY!! 17-9 Washington! We muffed the ball, but recover. We have it at the 50. 30 seconds left. We had 12 seconds left. 3rd and 3 from the 43 of Washington. No timeouts. We throw a bomb to Henderson, dropped. 0:08 left. We decided to go for it, again, endzone....... HE MISSED IT. NOO!! Washington tried a hail mary and got to the 9. Weird.

End of half: Washington 17, BYU 9

Johnson quickly broke 4 or 5 tackles and gained a bunch of yards on our first play. Once again Siegel passed to the TE, and BYU was at the Wash 27. We got to the 4, and we fumble and recover on 3rd down. Let's kick a field goal. 25 Yd FG attempt is GOOD! 17-12 Washington. That drive took the clock down to 2:23 in the 3rd.

Washington started out good, but then incompletions hurt them and their momentum. It was 3rd and 10 and from our 44. Holley tipped a pass to a Washington WR and he was GONE. Touchdown Washington. 44 Yards TD Reception. Extra point is good. 24-12 Washington

3 Incompetions ruined our drive. Punt. Washington came out throwing. We came out deflecting. It was 3rd and 3, if we stop them, we need to score. We couldn't Harley found Henry at the 25 and he was down at the 18. The HB Thomas ran around our team and scores. TOUCHDOWN! 18 yard run.

Oh, well. 31-12 Washington.

We just take the ball at the 20. We get 9 yards and..

End of 3rd Quarter: Washington 31, BYU 12

It's 4th and 1. The crowd yells "GO!" and we do. Berg gets us the first. 7 yard gain on the next play, then another 7 yard gain and a first down, we throw to TE Thomas adn he gets out of bounds at the 37. 1st down. Jordan catches and gets the first down and he's out of bounds. We're doing great. Then he over shoots HB Johnson, and another incompletion. 3rd and 10 from the 26. Siegel hits HB Johnson for a 16 yard gain. We get it to Henderson, and he's at the 1! We miss the endzone by inches on 1st down. HB Johnson gets in on 2nd down! TOUCHDOWN! 1 Yard TD run! 31-19 Washington. I don't kick an onside. No reason too, too much time left. Remember Josh Holley? He strips the ball away from the HB!! YES! Our ball!

We have it at our own 44, and get hit with a sack, it's 3rd and 19.. and it's incomplete. We decide to go for it. There's not much hope left for us, and the pass is up... and it is..... OVERSHOT CRAP, but Washington gets hit with a Personal Foul after the play. It's their ball at the 50, and we hold them! YES! They have to punt! But, we have the ball at the 13. Their defense is apprently tired and make a mass sub on defense. Woah. We get a fast gain, and then Washington gets caught offsides. We're at the 25... and it's intercepted. Oh well. With two timeouts left, it looks like we buried ourselves. We need another strip. It was quickly 3rd and 6 for Washington, but the clock was moving, and they PASS?! It's complete and a first down, but it's Personal Foul after the play. 1st and 25, but it doesn't really matter, but it 3rd and 14 and the clock is stopped! We pushed them out of bounds. 9 seconds left though. 4th and 3 with :05 left. Washington punts.

Wait.. why I am I still trying? We can't score 12 points in 5 seconds! The time runs out on the punt. No return.
