Chippewas Continue Their Dominance in 50-7 Win Over West Virginia

The Chippewas are on a roll and it doesn't look like anyone can stop them. Another all around performance allowed CMU to win easily over West Virginia 50-7. In their past 3 games, the Chippewas are outscoring their opponents 154-14. CMU is clearly the team to beat right now.

The Chippewas headed to halftime with a comfortable 22-0 lead. CMU would add 28 2nd half points on their way to the 50-7 win. "It's been a couple of weeks since played a conference opponent, so we stressed how important it was to continue playing well", said Carlson. "We're undefeated right now, but we have a long ways to go in the conference season. We did a good job of taking care of business today and the guys are playing some very good football right now."

QB Aaron Smith continues to be the favorite in the Heisman race. The Junior QB completed 21 of 32 passes for 282 yards and 3 TD's. Smith was a big factor in the run game as well, rushing for 145 yards and 2 TD's. Nick Holley led all receivers with 109 yards on 7 catches and 2 TD's. WR Mike Lee caught 6 passes for 89 yards and 1 TD.

The Chippewas 7-0 (4-0) will be on the road for the 2nd straight week as they travel to Manhattan to take on Kansas State.
