Gators win 2nd National Title in 3 years
The Florida Gators won their 3rd National Title in school history with a win over the Buckeyes. The Gators also capped off the first unbeaten season in school history. Florida is 2-0 versus the Buckeyes after beating them in the 2006 BCS title game. The Buckeyes made their 3rd straight appearance in the BCS title game, only to suffer their 3rd straight loss.
During the regular season the Gators managed to anvenge their 2007 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs. They won their 4th straight against Tennessee and 5th straight against Bobby Bowden and the Seminoles. The Gators also snapped their losing streak to other in state rival, Miami.
The Gators end the season with a 10 game home winning streak.
