Despite a dynasty and career best 424 yards passing from senior Mike Hart, Georgia Tech came up short in its comeback bid against Florida Saturday.

Florida dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, rushing for 291 yards on just 30 carries, while holding the top ranked rushing offense entering the day to just 50 yards on the ground in 29 attempts, including five sacks. Almost the entire Rambling Wreck defense was just that, a wreck, repeatedly missing tackles or getting blocked out of the play. The only defender who truly bothered to show up was senior defensive end David Terry, who finished with nine tackles, two for a loss, and one sack.

In the end, it wasn't nearly enough, and Georgia Tech lost 28-31, their first defeat since they lost to a similarly talented Florida almost exactly two years ago.
