| Very strong for a safety. Ripley had verbally committed to Ohio State as a high school junior. He remained committed to OSU until signing day, when he reversed field and signed with rival Michigan. His parents, both Buckeye grads, were devastated. ESPNews broke into coverage of the latest Coach T.O. press conference with the story about Ripley's switch from Scarlet and Grey to Maize and Blue. No one could get answers to why the young man would so abruptly (and secretly) switch allegiances. But one person knew why. Her name is Sarah Beth, Tobias's h.s. love and future mother to his children, as Tobias lovingly called her.
