Michigan defense struggles again, falls 41-36 at #22 Penn St.
STATE COLLEGE -- The Wolverines run defense let them down for the second week in a row, this time allowing 256 yards on the ground. That ground dominance allowed the Nittany Lions to convert 9 of 14 third down chances and dominate the time of possession. Even still, Michigan kept it close thanks to excellent performances from QB Ray Dixon and WR Lance Richard, as well as two timely INT's. A 17 yard PSU TD pass midway through the 4th would prove to be the decisive blow, however, as Michigan was unable to mount another effective scoring drive.
