Season Report Posted: May 01, 2018 02:27
With a 34-29 win over rival FIU, the FAU Owls (7-5, 7-2) have wrapped up the C-USA East and will travel to Murfreesboro on December 13th to take on MTSU. The Owls average 28.8 points per game and 423.3 yards per game, good for 30th and 16th in the country respectively. When asked about their upcoming opponent, Blue Raiders coach Mike Norvell stated, "The key to their offense is that run game, so we need to shut that down and we'll have a pretty okay shot if we can play like we normally do on offense." Owls running back Devin Singletary has rushed for 1517 yards and 13 touchdowns this season and FAU's rushing offense ranks 15th in the nation at 219.4 yards per game.
Blue Raiders Lock Up Second Straight Division Title Thanks to Stockstill's Performance

Season Report Posted: May 01, 2018 02:19
Middle Tennessee State (8-2, 7-0) earned its second straight C-USA West division title on Saturday due to a 48-30 victory over Marshall and rival Western Kentucky's 31-16 home loss to South Alabama. Despite 30 points and 592 yards of total offense from Marshall, the Blue Raiders pulled away early thanks to four takeaways from the defense and a school record six touchdown passes from quarterback Rick Stockstill. MTSU still has to play the Hilltoppers in next week's annual 100 Miles of Hate matchup as well as second place South Alabama the following week, but have no chance of losing the division thanks to the 7th conference win.

It was an ideal Homecoming for Middle Tennessee State (5-2, 4-0), as the Blue Raiders crushed East Carolina 63-20, largely due to a phenomenal performance from quarterback Rick Stockstill. Stockstill broke two major school passing marks on Saturday, throwing for a school record 563 yards and 7 touchdowns. Richie James, who racked up 199 yards on 10 receptions, was on the receiving end of four of those touchdown throws, allowing him to also set a new school record. As a whole, the offense was dominant, piling up 696 yards of total offense, another new school record. The defense also played strongly, forcing three turnovers and holding the Pirates to 71 rushing yards.
