LOBOS BOWL

November 3, 2012

Game Report Posted: July 27, 2012 02:13

UNLV game out fighting on the road, give them credit for that effort. But, the Lobos would not be denied baby. Lobos stamped a ticket to be eligible for a bowl game under year 1 of coach Bomar.

Excellent performance by running back, Chase Clayton - 199 yds on the ground and 2 touchdowns.

Lobos now find themselves in the hunt for 1st place in MWC. WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK!!!!!!

Also, impressive 5-1 home record for Lobos. Not stellar competition, but hey a win is a win, rebuilding a program.

OFFENSE SHOWS UP

October 27, 2012

Game Report Posted: July 26, 2012 06:09

Lobos come out of the gate fast, like a pack of wild dawgs hunting for their lives! 14 first quarter points, on the previously #1 team in the MWC.

Fresno State defense could not keep up with the offense of New Mexico, 42 pts. Lobos previous highest scoring game was week 1 vs. Army, 28 pts.

Also, the Lobos improve to 4-1 at home this season.

The year 1 program of coach Bomar is looking brighter with 5 wins under his belt now. Only 1 more win is need for bowl eligibility.

Coach Bomar "We don't want to just qualify for a bowl, we want to win the MWC and shock the world!"

WARRIORS CRUSH LOBOS

October 13, 2012

Game Report Posted: July 26, 2012 00:12

Warriors were favorites on paper and it showed.

Coach Bomar blames himself for the team not coming out and competing better!

We will preform much, much better next week vs. Air Force!

Lobos were shackled by the Hawaii Warriors from start to finish.

Lobos now are in a serious fight to claim 6 wins to become bowl eligible. Dropping their last 3 games, which makes them a .500 ball club heading into week 8.

1st WIN, CLOSE...

Game Report Posted: July 24, 2012 23:38

Lobos start out the season on a slow note and find themselves in 14 pt hole.

But, due to some half time adjustments by Coach Bomar, the Lobos tighten up defensively and only give up 10 second half points to Army.

Where as the Lobos, pick it up on offense and out score the Black Knights of Army 14-3 in the 4th qtr. An 88 yard pass and 48 yard pass from BR Holbrook to Kirk and Solomon seal the deal.

BAZARE ENDING, BUT LOBOS WIN

October 20, 2012

Game Report Posted: July 26, 2012 03:55

Wow, what a defensive battle in the MWC this week.

Neither team would budge defensively, only giving up 7 pts each. But, the Lobos defense made some key sacks and interceptions early on to put themselves in position to win the game late, and I mean late in the 4th qtr.

Play of the game happens to occur on a missed field goal attempt to possibly win the game by Air Force kicker. But, he misses and Deshawn Mills of New Mexico returns the missed field goal for 101 yards!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This nail biting win lifts the Lobos to 1-1 in MWC and 4-3 overall. New Mexico now only needs 2 games to qualify for bowl eligibility.

IN CONTROL

September 15, 2012

Game Report Posted: July 24, 2012 23:54

Slow start for both teams, but home field advatage of New Mexico, ranked 120th of 120th, ha-ha helps home town Lobos shut out Bulls 10-0 in 1st half.

Lobos were in full control despite slow start for second straight week.

Lobos 2-0 building momentum folks.

RIVALRY

September 22, 2012

Game Report Posted: July 25, 2012 00:04

Both the Aggies and Lobos battled it out for yr 1, 2012 state bragging rights.

Intresting game from start to finish. But, a late 3rd qtr FG by J. Adams cuts the Aggies lead down to 1.

Week 1 player of the week, QB, Holbrook saves the day again with a 20 yard pass to Q. Solomon with 24 seconds left on the clock to close the books on the 2012 Rio Grande Rivilary!

Lobos improve to 3-0 under new head coach Tahj Bomar, fromer UW alumni and linebacker.

FAST LOBO START

September 29, 2012

Season Report Posted: July 24, 2012 23:28

New head coach, Bomar, looks to get 4th straight win in week 5 versus the University of San Jose St (1-3).

A 4-0 start would put the Lobos in prime position to earn a bowl bid berth!

ROAD GAME, SLOW START, 1ST LOST

September 29, 2012

Game Report Posted: July 25, 2012 01:55

Lobos took the road for first time this season and it showed.

Another slow start offensively really hurt us this time around.

San Jose St. running back (soph) had his way with the Lobos defense, rushing for 148 yds and 1 td.

Lobos prepare for Notre Dame next week on the road

IRISH TAME LOBOS

October 4, 2012

Game Report Posted: July 25, 2012 05:52

The score says it all, Lobos could not down anything against the mighty Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Lobos have a long way to go to be able and compete with the big boys.

Lobos fall to 0-2 on the road this season.

Next week the Lobos take on the Hawaii Warriors (2-2). The Lobos first conference game.
