Number 1 goes Down!!

Oklahoma State hands out their 3rd upset of the year as they win against preseason BCS champion the USC Trojans. "There is nothing better in the World then beating the Number 1 team in the Nation" Saftey Sean Taylor said after the game. Oklahoma State got on the board first with a 13 yard pass from Jahns to Bowman in the 1st quarter and that was the only score of the quarter. Early in the 2nd Oklahoma State went by 14 with another touchdown pass from Jahns to Crosslin for 30 yards but USC battled back and HB #23 scored his first of 3 rushing touchdowns with a 5 yard run with 1 minute remaining in the half. The biggest turning point of the game came when USC CB #7 picked off a pass at Oklahoma States 30 yard line with 50 seconds to go and took it 18 yards but was hit by Jahns and fumbled the ball and Oklahoma State recovered it. Oklahoma State went on to score by a 66 yard pass from Jahns to Broadway so instead of trailing 14-7 going into half USC was down 21-7. USC got the ball to start the 2nd half and scored quickly with a 14 yard run by HB #23 and Oklahoma State answered with a 24 yard FG by Ricks with 35 seconds remaining in the 3rd to go up 24-14 going into the 4th. USC cut the lead to 3 in the 4th with HB #23 getting his 3rd touchdown of the by a 1 yard run but again Jahns had an answer taking it 32 yards for his 1st rushing touchdown of the day. Oklahoma State added another touchdown with 1 min to go by a 30 yard pass from Jahns to Bowman which sealed the victory. USC fought hard trying to come back but didnt have enough time as they scored with 15 seconds to go with a touchdown pass from John David Booty to TE #83 but could not manage to recover the onside kick. Oklahoma State added 3 more points with no time remaining by a 34 yard Field goal by Ricks. "I wasn't trying to run up the score, Ricks hasn't had many opportunities to kick Field goals so I decided to give him a chance at the end because it didn't matter at that point" said coach Mike Gundy when reporters questioned him about his decision to kick a Field goal with 3 seconds left rather then just taking a knee. USC's defense stopped Oklahoma States rushing attack that averaged 200 yards a game they only gave up 98 but they still couldn't stop Jahns as he threw for 324 yards and 4 Touchdowns.
