All Quiet in Week 1

Weekly Report Posted: May 18, 2024 23:31

No news has been reported this week.

Right where we left off.

The Nittany Lions of Penn State picked up today wht they had started in last year's bowl game. In the last two contests the Lions hav not been scored on. Penn State did what they wanted in this game and scored at will. Rodney Kinlaw saw his first start as a Lion give him a 100 yard game, the second of his career. Anthony Morelli looked very sharp passing the ball out there and we hope to have cured his Int problem from last year. Of course we will see how the team as a whole performs against teams of much higher level during conference play. Our non-conference schedule is weak, to say the least. But with D-Will and Butler, not a lot of teams were hollering to play against our speed. The FIU Panthers were no match for Penn State, but wanted the game anyway. Penn State wanted to look into recruiting in Florida and FIU was the only team brave enough to face the Lions. The coach likes that some of the kids in the area got some face time of the Lions and might go after some of those kids this off-season.
