Victory Bell stays with Penn State!!
Penn State retained the rights to keep the Governer's Voctory Bell for another year. Although the Golden Gophers were unefeated and ranked #17 before the game. The Lion defense started off a little shaky letting Pinnix gain 54 yards in 10 carries in the first half. They didn't let the Gopher QB get anything at the same point. When they saw they had a running game going they ran with all they had and dropped the passing game. When the Lions stepped up the run-D, Minnesota had nothing left.
