Coach Terry- I said it once ill say it again, any thing less than a BCS title is a failure. Its football time in Tennessee.

Not a great start

August 25, 2038

Game Report Posted: November 25, 2008 20:31

Reporter-The Vols did not open there season on a high not as they sneak out with a victory over Marshall. The Tennessee defense did there job, but the Vols offense couldnt stop fumbling the football. Coach Terry- We dont have much to be proud of, but we got the victory, so now its time to focus on the Gator. Reporter-The Vols better play better in two weeks as they play host to the Flordia Gators. Should be a great game. See ya there.

Javon got called on and he threw 2 picks. The Vols need answers as Motley is underachiving at this point. Coach Terry- Motley will start saturday vs NIU, but Javan will be ready to go if needed. We also needs more out of there run game.Reporter- The Vols will have to improve on offense quickly as the Vols schedule is only going to get tuffer.

Vols get ugly Win

Game Report Posted: November 27, 2008 06:58

The Vols win but it wasnt preety. Defending Heisman winner Eric Motley got pull in the 1st quater, and back up Javon Ross got pulled in the 4th quater. The Vols D played great as it had tons of ints. The Vols will need way better play out of there qbs if they want to win saturday at Georgia. The Vols lost there only game on the road this year. Coach Terry- We are not playing well, but were working hard and we will get on the right track. Im not sure who will get the start saturday, depends on how practice goes this week. Im expexting to star Javan, but Kelvin my get the start. Reporter- The Vols better hope who ever they start they play good, cause this is a well coached Georgia team.

Vols win 6th in a row VS Doggs

Game Report Posted: November 27, 2008 13:00

Reporter-Tennessee came in looking for answers on offense, even though they didnt get that they pulled off the W. There defense led theme to a big victory, there first road win this year.Again the Vols started Eric Motley, then went to Javan Ross the end the game. It was Sean Williams pick 6 that gave the Vols there momentem early and there first score, then with under 2 min to go the wildkat formation got the Vols to the 3 yard line, and Mitchell scored for the Vols giving them win number 4. Coach Terry was asked why he didnt play who we thought all week would start Kelvin Carrol. Coach Terry- We put Kelvin in last week cause we felt like the game was already one. We did not want to put to much on him and stick him in a game at Georgia. We felt Eric or Javan was best. Javan will start this saturday. Reporter-The Vols better hope Javan plays well as the Crimson tide come to town.

Great start bad finish.

Game Report Posted: November 28, 2008 07:40

The Vols lost there 3rd in a row Saturday in a down to the wier battle. The Vols led 17-3 in the 2cd half and gave up the lead. Javan played ok but the Vols just couldnt score. Coach Terry- We have got to find away to score, we could see this team again but we have got to score to win the East. Reporter- The Vols have the Game Cocks to play next, and its a must win game for Tennessee.

Struggles over?

Game Report Posted: November 28, 2008 10:57

The Vols offense had a great day as Motley threw 6-9 with a TD, and Jason Mitchell had a great day his season best in fact. The Vols D did struggle at times but held strong in the end. Stephen Pittman also had another kick return for a TD. Eric Motley- It was great to play today and play well. Were all working hard in practice to get better. This is a winning program and thats what we do. We will find ways to win. Jamie Terry- Im verry pleased with Eric's play. We need to se this week in and week out to win the sec. Reporter- The Vols have wins over every SEC East opponet this year. If they win just 2 out of there next 3 SEC games they win the East. In those next 3 games they have Vandy, Kentucky, and Ole Miss, all winnable games.

100th Win

Game Report Posted: November 28, 2008 15:53

Reporter- Coach Terry picked up his 100th Coaching win in his already great career. The Vols offense looked great with Javan Ross at QB. Motley started the game, but started 0-3 with an int. Javan finished 9-11, over 200yds, and 3 tds. It was also the first time this season that a Vols QB did not throw a pick in a game this season. The Vols just need one more SEC win this year to lock up the SEC East. All they have to do is beat Vandy or Kentuky to lock it up. Coach Terry- It felt great, even more great since we have been struglling this year. I think we have found our QB, but we will see. 100 wins feels good, but no time to reflect with Temple coming up this weekend. Javan Ross- It felt good to have one of my best career games and it be Coaches 100th win. Im verry glad this was the day we chose to click on all sylindars. Reporter- The Vols only gave up 69yds of offense. The Vols struggles may be over.

Coming alive

Game Report Posted: November 29, 2008 02:17

The Vols offense has come alive as they scored 35 1st quater points. Javan went 7-9 for over 200yds and 2 tds. His last 2 games he is 16-20,over 400yds, and 4tds with no picks. Coach Terry- Well were just happy to see Javan having success. He has watched from the bench most his career now he is a starter and playing really well. Reporter- With a win next week the Vols lock up the sec east, and will play for the SEC title in December. They will be looking for a rematch with LSU, who shut the Vols out in Baton Rouge earlier this season. One things for sure, Tennessee has improved since then.

Lock it up!

Game Report Posted: November 29, 2008 04:39

Jason Mitchell had 20car and 131 yds with a td. Jamie Terry- What a victory, another solid preformance and back to back SEC east titles. Reporter- Looks like Tennessee has found there QB this season and there idinity on offense. Up next the Wild Kats.

#1 No more

Game Report Posted: November 30, 2008 08:26

Notre Dame come in 11-0 one win a way from locking up a spot in the BCs title game for the first time in school history. The Fighting Irish have never one a BCS title but they have been there 3 times. One of there three losses came to Tennessee in 2028. Yet again the Vols spoiled the Irish party, stoping them from winning a title again. The Irish never looked good mostley because of there star QB being out cause of injury, and there best CB to. The Vols prevailed getting there 14th straight 10 win season.

Tennessee makes it 18 straight.

Game Report Posted: November 30, 2008 08:04

The Vols beat the Wild Kats for the 18th straight time tonight. Another solid performance out of Javan Ross and that Vols defense. Tennessee needs just one more win to have there 14th straight 10 win season. The Vols play there regular season fanally next week in South Bend against the Number 1 Fighting Irish. Big game for Tennessee.
