Stunner

Game Report Posted: September 29, 2009 06:37

Joe Means- The Vols were stunned by unranked CFU in ot. The Vols trailed in the first half at one point 21-0. In the 2cd hald=f they found theme a new running back. He rushed for 3 tds including an 85 yarder to tie it at 21. He also had a 48 yarder that gave the Vols the lead on the verry next drive. In ot on 3rd down, Newton threw it ti the endzone to sr wr Jesse Wilson but he couldnt hold on. The Vols settled for a feild goal. On 1st and 2cd down for CFU there QB hit the same impact linebacker in the hands but he droped them both. On third down they threw it to the endzone to C.J. Holt for the score and the stunning upset. Coach Terry had no comments. The Vols have to play alot better next week as they go to the swamp to take on the Gators. The Vols have won the last 3 times they have played. CFU also snapped the Vols 25 home game winning streak which was only 4 away from tieing the record for most home wins in a row in Tennessee history.

Not to preety

Game Report Posted: September 30, 2009 06:23

Joe Means-The Vols didnt look that good aginst Idaho State on offense. They only scored 4 tds in the game although they did rack up 434 yrds of offense. They just kept on turning the ball over or not finishing drives. Coach Terry-We could have played better but we won. We have alot of work to do this week. We moved the ball good but we cant turn it over all game long. I blame it on the players as well as us coaches. A couple of times i decided to go for it on 4th down a couple of times when mabey should have punted it. But all in all it was a win. Joe Means-The Vols need to play better next week as they go on the road to play Miss State. In Knoxville im Joe Means Tennessee sports.

Tuff loss

Game Report Posted: September 30, 2009 06:35

Joe Means- The Vols took a tuff loss saturday at home to UGA. It was tied at 7 in the 2cd and UT QB Greg Newton tried to run but when he was hit he fumbled. UGA ran it all the way back. It was the biggest diffrence in the Vols loss on saturday. Coach Terry-It was tough one. Both teams played hard in the end they just made fewer mistakes than us. Greg Newton-I played verry bad. I have to work hard and try to rebound. Joe Means-Newton had the worst game of his career as he threw 0tds with 5 ints. The vols will look to bounce back aginst Bama on saturday.

We really are looking good this week on offense. We expect our offense to play like there practicing. Joel White-Dont miss it saturday at 2:30 as the Vols go on the road to take on Miss State.
