No. 23 Bama 34, Vols 31: Tide ball controls the Vols to death. Last-second, 54-yard pass from Wayne Smith to Gabriel Cooper gets to the Tide 28-yard line, but time runs out before kicking team can come on.

South Carolina 38, Vols 28: Travis Tucker carries 29 times for 299 yards and five touchdowns. Guy just bounces off Vols defenders all game.

Vols 29, LSU 12: LB Sean Thompson ends the Tigers' first possession with a goal-line INT, CB Jason King ends the last with a 54-yard pick-six.

Vols 46, Vandy 6: J.R. Castillo bulls up the middle for 153 yards on 29 carries. Vols look to next week's showdown with Kentucky for the SEC East title. Both are 9-2, 5-2.

Kentucky 27, Vols 24, OT: Vols lead most of the game, then give up the tying FG in the final minute after Wayne Smith tosses an INT. The have the ball first in OT and Smith is sacked at the 28, leading to a missed FG. Wildcats kick their FG to clinch the SEC East title.

Music City Bowl -- Vols 43, Georgia Tech 30: Stephen Jennings rushes for two touchdowns, Vols finish 9-3.

Wayne Smith throws for 2,899 yards and 22 touchdowns, hitting 62 percent of his throws.

J.R. Castillo rushes for 1,008 yards and 10 scores, and Stephen Jennings gets 888.

Tight end Roy Wood has injury troubles much of the season but still makes 77 catches.
