In what has become the norm in College Station, the Aggie offense propelled Texas A&M to their second win on the young season while the former Wrecking Crew defense gives up almost 400 yards to a very undermanned Ragin Cajun team. The Aggie offense led by Mike Goodson outscored Louisiana Lafayette 58-27. Goodson rushed for 238 yards and 2 TD's while Stephen McGee passed for 214 yards and 2 TD's and completed 9 out of his 12 attempts and more importantly no interceptions. But once again Head Coach Dennis Franchione was less than pleased with the effort of his defense. "We have to get better and in a hurry if we are going to compete in the Big 12. The teams we will face are much tougher than what we saw today and we can't go into a game thinking we have to get into a shootout." The Aggies will hope to get their defense turned up a notch against Army next week.
