Coach Toner and the Aggies Get There First Win

Coach Toner gets his first win of the season against the Utes. The Aggies came into the game not even being considered to win this game. Coach Toner wasn't even alive that last time the Aggies won the Battle of the Brothers. The Aggies started the game horribly with three interceptions and Coach Toner had no choice but to put the back-up
Diondre Borel in. He made the right choice. Borel success wasn't through the air. His success was running the option and just controlling the offense. Coach Toner had to say this after the game, " I would not be surprised if you folks see Borel start the next game against Idaho. " The real surprise was how well (RB) Chris Forbes ran tonight. He ran for 178 Yards for two touchdowns. The Aggies will play the Idaho Vandals next week.

The Aggies fumble problems just keep getting worse. Utah State had Four Turnovers with three of those being fumbles. The Aggies were leading at half-time when the Ducks just decided to play. Coach Toner had to say this, "The offense looked blank, Special Teams were horrible, the only good thing was Golden (DE) tearing through there offensive line. " The Utah State Aggies will play there home opener against Utah for the Battle of the Brothers. Coach Toner has said to look for some more rushes then the last two games.

UNLV Runs All Over the Aggies

Las Vegas,
The UNLV Runnin Rebels ran all over the Aggies tonight. UNLV was able to run for 269 Yards tonight in a 21-48 win. The Aggies had five fumbles and one interception that completely destroyed them. McCormick look great throwing for 387 yards tonight but he had four of the Aggies five fumbles. After the game, Coach Toner said this, "Our offense looked good, our defense looked decent, but we just couldn't keep the ball!" The Utah State Aggies will play #23 Oregon next week and if the Aggies lose the next game they will have a hard time trying to make a bowl this year.
