Virginia destroyed the Horned Frogs of TCU by a score of 42-14. TCU was heavily favored in their trip to Charlottesville, sporting one of the nation's best defenses. But the Hoos didn't let that bother them. Once again, senior running back Mikell Simpson rushed for well over 200 yards and put two in the endzone. Senior receiver Dontrelle Inman and senior quarterback Vic Hall also rushed for a touchdown a piece. Hall also threw for 92 yards on 8 of 14 passing. Senior quarterback Jameel Sewell went 5 of 8 passing for 53 yards and a touchdown pass. The defense shut down TCU and held the Horned Frogs to 179 yards of total offense. The Cav's defense intercepted quarterback Yogi Gallegos three times and Andy Dalton once. Senior corner Dom Joseph had 2 of those interceptions, Safety Chris Cook had one and safety Curtis Mosley had one, which he returned 78 yards for a score in the opening drive of the game.
